Every community member has access to quality and innovative health and crisis intervention services, and the opportunity to achieve optimal health and wellness through coordinated care and educational programs.

Priority Issue Areas 2006 - 2011

Improve Access to Mental Health Services.
• Improve access to mental health services for the uninsured and under-insured. 
• Advocate for mental health parity in the State of Wisconsin.
• Promote the recruitment and retention of qualified health professionals.
• Improve access to mental health services targeted at specific needs and diagnoses.

Promote Healthy Lifestyles.
• Promote healthy lifestyles and encourage health prevention and education.
• Encourage moderation in use of alcohol and prevent drug and alcohol abuse.
• Promote public awareness of healthcare needs and issues in our community.

Improve Access to Physical Health and Dental Care for the Uninsured and Under-insured.
• Promote the recruitment and retention of qualified health professionals.
• Increase capacity of those providers serving the uninsured and under-insured.

Prevent Intimate Crimes (Domestic, Sexual and Child Abuse) and Support Victims.
• Promote access to services for both victims and offenders.

School-Based Mental Health Access Initiative

Desiring to improve mental health access for area youth who have difficulty obtaining services in the community, the Impact Area developed a program that provides mental health counseling in three schools in the Menasha Joint School District: Clovis Grove Elementary School, Maplewood Middle School and Menasha High School.  A consortium of mental health agencies, including Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay, Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin and Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, was selected as the provider.
